EAA AirVenture, Oshkosh, Wis.

Need:

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh team wanted to fill their exhibition booth options during the AirVenture event. The EAA sales team was trying to reach potential exhibitors by phone but struggled to get prospects to even answer their calls. They had such a great story to tell but couldn’t get people to slow down and listen to them

Solution:

After learning more about what EAA had to offer, the solution hit our Strategies Creative Team right between the eyes. EAA was the connection to an influential group of half a million people who were at the event to learn, relax, and build relationships with others in attendance.  We proposed a custom pre-phone call mailer that would not just help get their foot in the door, it would kick the darn door down!

Results:

The theme: We’re Your Connection to an audience that’s ready to buy! The kit included a phone power bank, charging cable, cable tie, phone holder, and two well-written and designed communiques (custom printed inserts) that explained the event and the opportunities it provided. The contents were packaged in a custom mailer box with additional messaging printed on all sides. The message closed with the promise that an EAA representative would be calling soon to explain a few offers and answer any questions.

The EAA sales team no longer had people dodging their calls. The pre-call mailer gifts hit the target and piqued the interest of the recipients. EAA shared that this concept was the most successful they had ever tried.

We have since created a second pre-call mailer kit and will soon be working on a third.
